MY STORY

I have been interested in foreign cultures and news since I was a child. I lived on a boat with my family for seven years and during that time I was exposed to island tribes and foreign languages that truly expanded my perception of the world. When I returned to the U.S. I found it very strange how isolated we are from the rest of the world. The U.S. plays a huge role in world politics and yet most of its populations can't accurately identify where Portugal is. My mission is to travel to areas that mirror the polar opposite of western culture and give our nation an accurate insight into these wonderful cultures. Think Anthony Bourdain but without a focus on food. My journey starts at the University of Iowa but I aim to travel farther than just the Midwest. This is just the beginning, stick around to see how far I go.
